Competition Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all competitions and giveaways ("Competitions") run by YOU Northern Beaches ("we", "our", "us"), including those hosted via our website, social media, newsletter, or in collaboration with third-party brands.

By entering any of our Competitions, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Eligibility

  • Competitions are open to residents of Australia only, aged 18 years or older at the time of entry, unless otherwise specified.
     

  • Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of YOU Northern Beaches or any partner involved in the Competition are not eligible to enter.
     

  • Entrants must comply with all entry instructions as outlined in the promotional material or post.

2. How to Enter

  • Entry mechanics (e.g. subscribing to our newsletter, following our Instagram page, tagging or using a hashtag) will be outlined in the relevant competition post or article.
     

  • Entrants must complete all entry steps correctly and by the stated deadline to be considered valid.
     

  • Entry is free. No purchase is necessary.

3. Competition Period

  • Each Competition will have a specific opening and closing date and time, as published on our website or social media channels.
     

  • Entries received outside the specified period will not be accepted.

4. Prize Details

  • The prize(s) will be clearly stated in the promotional material and may vary from competition to competition.
     

  • Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
     

  • If the stated prize is unavailable, we reserve the right to substitute it with an alternative of equal or greater value.

5. Winner Selection & Notification

  • Winners will be selected by random draw or by a panel of judges based on the stated criteria (e.g. creativity, originality), depending on the competition format.
     

  • The winner(s) will be notified via email or social media (e.g. DM on Instagram) within five (5) business days of the draw/decision.
     

  • If a winner does not respond within seven (7) days, we reserve the right to select a new winner.
     

  • Winners may be publicly announced via our platforms unless otherwise requested.

6. Use of Entries & Content

  • By entering, you grant YOU Northern Beaches the right to use your entry content (e.g. photos, videos, captions) for promotional purposes across our platforms, unless otherwise stated.

  • You confirm you own the rights to any content submitted and it does not infringe any third-party rights.

7. Privacy

  • By entering a Competition, you agree to the collection and use of your personal information (e.g. name, email, social media handle) for the purposes of running the promotion and in line with our Privacy Policy.​

  • You may receive marketing emails from us, which you can unsubscribe from at any time.

8. Limitation of Liability

  • YOU Northern Beaches is not responsible for any lost, late, incomplete, corrupted, or misdirected entries or for technical issues that may prevent entry.

  • We are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in the Competition or use of the prize, except as required by law.

9. Instagram / Meta Disclaimer

  • This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, or Meta.

  • By entering, you release Instagram of any responsibility and agree to their terms of use.

10. Amendments

  • YOU Northern Beaches reserves the right to amend these terms or cancel the Competition at any time without prior notice due to circumstances beyond our control.
