Jodi Barbara doesn’t just talk about healing, she lives it. As a spiritual counsellor and remote energy healer, her work is grounded in lived experience and deep transformation. Her path hasn’t been linear or polished. Instead, it’s been a gritty and gradual climb shaped by trauma, triggering an awakening, and a quiet but powerful remembering of who she really is. What emerged from the fog is a life devoted to helping others heal, awaken, and return to their own truth.
“I always knew I was different,” she reflects. “I had this gift of inner knowing - clairvoyance, really - from a very young age. I could see what others couldn’t. I’d pick up on the truth behind someone’s words, or sense what was about to happen. And for some reason, people would open up to me and begin to heal, even before I understood what I was doing.”
But being different didn’t feel magical at the time, it felt isolating. “Feeling different when you're young can make you feel awkward and disconnected. It took years to understand that what made me ‘weird’ was actually a gift.”
Her awakening wasn’t one dramatic turning point, but a slow unfolding over years, a journey of unlearning, remembering, and learning again. One of the most significant catalysts came after the breakdown of a deeply painful relationship. “That ending cracked something open in me. It forced me to stop hiding from myself. The pain pulled everything I’d buried to the surface, and that was the beginning of real growth.”
At the time, life felt numb. “It’s hard to explain if you haven’t felt it, but there was a kind of grey fog around everything. Even when I laughed or felt joy, it didn’t go deep. It was like I was playing a role in someone else’s story, only coming up for air every now and then.”
Everything began to shift when she finally turned inward and began to heal the root causes of her pain, particularly childhood trauma, using energy work. “The moment I knew I’d really come through something,” she says, “was when I looked at my daughter’s face and saw it in colour for the first time. It hit me like a wave. The fog lifted. Suddenly I could feel the sun, smell the trees, hear the birds, and really hear them. Everything was heightened. It was like my soul had come home.”

Jodi now dedicates her life to helping others find that same light. Her work combines spiritual counselling, intuitive coaching, remote energy healing, and more recently, a holistic parasite cleanse protocol designed to clear both physical and energetic stagnation. What she offers is a full-body, full-soul reset - and it all begins with remembering who you truly are.
“Most of us are just trying to survive,” she says. “We’re in fight-or-flight all the time, living disconnected from our bodies and our spirit. When you’re stuck in that loop, you don’t stop to notice the beauty that life is constantly offering because you’re too busy just trying to stay alive.”
For Jodi, healing is about changing the relationship you have with your inner world. “When you start to heal,” she explains, “you become less reactive, less resistant to change. You stop trying to fix others and start meeting them where they are. You realise that your triggers were just unhealed parts of you asking for attention. That’s where the freedom is.”
Her journey into energy healing work began almost accidentally, a leap of faith, powered by intuition. “I didn’t even know what I was doing at first,” she laughs. “I was just willing to try anything. And then something extraordinary happened.”
One of her earliest experiences was performing a remote healing on her friend’s mother who had flatlined. “We brought her back,” she says matter-of-factly. “Even the medical staff couldn’t explain it. That moment changed everything for me. It showed me that if you have the presence of hope, anything is possible.”
For those unfamiliar with remote healing, Jodi explains it like this: “We are all source energy. Time and space don’t really exist at the energetic level - it’s all vibration. If energy can’t die and only transforms, then our physical presence isn’t required for healing to happen. Miracles are just energy moving through intention.”

This deep understanding also led her to explore the concept of energetic parasites - low-vibrational entities or energetic blockages that feed off stagnation in our energy field. She began studying the ways our physical and energetic bodies intersect, eventually creating a parasite cleanse protocol that works on both levels.
“The body and the soul are connected, they can’t be treated separately,” she says. “You can’t eat garbage, think toxic thoughts, and surround yourself with low-frequency people and expect to feel vibrant. Everything affects everything. Cleansing is about creating flow. It’s about lightening your load.”
The program includes plant-based, natural remedies, but also energetic hygiene - a daily practice she treats with the same importance as brushing her teeth. “Spiritual hygiene is essential,” she says. “Every day I ground myself, I get barefoot in the earth, I swim in the sea, I check in with myself. Once a week I do a self-clearing, it’s like giving your energy field a dust.”
This isn’t new knowledge, she adds. “These are ancient practices. Indigenous cultures have always known how to live in harmony with energy. We’ve just forgotten.”
Jodi also makes a clear distinction between guiding and rescuing. “As a healer, you have to remember that their journey isn’t yours. You can’t carry other people’s baggage. That’s how burnout happens. I’m here to guide, not to absorb.”
When she reflects on what she’s had to unlearn through her healing journey, the list is long, and profound. “I had to unlearn that I’m responsible for everyone else. That my worth is tied to doing. That love has to be earned. That being ‘nice’ means being silent. I had to unlearn the idea that healing is linear or quick. It’s not. It’s messy, non-linear, and completely personal.”
She’s also a firm believer in the idea of a broader collective awakening. “Yes, I believe the planet is healing. The more we each rise in frequency, the more the whole world shifts. It’s not some fluffy spiritual idea, it’s quantum physics. Where you put your attention, energy flows. If you want to change the world, start with yourself. Heal. That’s the most powerful activism there is.”
Jodi has created a life that not only supports others but protects her own peace. She doesn’t chase. She attracts. She doesn’t push. She flows. And perhaps most importantly, she’s built a practice on the truth that we already have what we need inside of us.
“I’m just here to help you remember,” she says with a smile. “This interview is lighting me up because I get to express what I’ve lived. And I know someone reading this is going to feel a spark. That’s how we rise. One healed person at a time.”
